How to make yourself look like an Egyptian mummy
Happy Tuesday everyone!
Summer term is now fully back in swing-so far all pupils have been pretty well behaved (but lets not talk too soon!) and everyone is back on it. Only 5 weeks till the next holiday plus its my birthday and bank holiday this weekend!
Today I'm going to do a quick review of the Garnier moisture bomb tissue mask. My mum actually bought me this as a little gift as they are currently on sale for only 99p in Boots. I'm not normally one for face masks so I was quite intrigued to try it and thought it would make a good back to school treat.

There are three different masks in the range-the one above (and the one I used) is the revitalising mask and then there is also the rebalancing mask and the soothing mask. I believe they are all very similar format with slightly different moisturisers in them.
First thing first, this product is a little messy and slippy to apply. You have to apply the tissue mask, smooth it onto your face and then remove the blue plastic backing sheet. There is quite a lot of cream on the sheet and it as a nice cooling feel on your face but it does make you look a little like you are wearing a bandage on your face, basically a bit like one of those mummys from an old Hollywood horror film. Do not apply this just before your brand new partner is about to come round!
You leave this on for about 15 minutes-I entertained myself by watching some videos on YouTube, and then you peel it off and massage in all the left over product on your face. I was excited to find out how my face felt but I have to admit I was a little disappointed. Having very dry skin I thought it would feel amazing but it just felt..ok. My face felt very smooth and slightly shiny but it also felt quite tight and I still had to apply some moisturiser afterwards.
I probably wouldn't use this particular mask again but it did make me want to try some other masks (more to come!)
Let me know your thoughts below-I know some people love these masks!
Love Bertie xx
